Please follow the link below. There was a recently aired segment on =
prime
time news on chemicals in schools. Very good segment on the issue and
featured our SQG colleague in Seattle, Dave Waddell. Many of you =
remember him
from the NAHMMA/SQG/HHW conference in Miami back in December.=20

Just got the word from an EPA colleague in Washington DC (thanks =
Kristina!)
that "NBC Nightly News with Brian Anderson" will be airing a segment on =
the
problem of old laboratory chemicals in schools tonight. I was =
interviewed as
part of the production, but have no idea if they'll be using my talking =
head.
They filmed a school in Kansas to illustrate the issue and have =
interviewed a
number of people. I was told the story will focus on, "Why isn't =
someone
helping schools get rid of chemicals?"
I'm quite excited that there will finally be some national media =
attention
focused on this issue that our program has been working on for many =
years.
We'll see if it motivates some action at the federal, state and local =
levels.
