The Seminole County Environmental Compliance, Assistance & Pollution
Prevention Program (ECAP3) has an opening for an Environmental Program
Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this position is coordinating
the county's Small Quantity Generator Program. The ECAP3 Team also operates
the Household Hazardous Waste & E-scrap program, investigates complaints and
conducts a variety of related projects. The job posting is copied below.

CLOSING DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED (PAY GRADE: C2) - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical and administrative work involving conducting site visits of
facilities that generate regulated waste. Ability to investigate complaints,
make assessments of reported violations, and prepare cases to be presented to
the Code Enforcement Board. Two (2) years of college level course work in
Science; or three years experience in environmental and hazardous materials
programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess
the ability to develop a working knowledge of applicable environmental rules,
regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and
use personal computers for completing reports, database management, etc. Must
be physically capable of performing on site inspections. Must possess and
maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. Work schedule: Days and hours may
vary. May be required to work special project events as needed.
