In Duval County we have a fee based on the generator size. It was
enacted by the City Council several years ago and we are looking at
changing it now. It involves approval through the various departments
and City Council. Ours is paid through the Tax Collector's Office but
we have to do the work to generate the invoices for payment. We work
with our ITD and Accounting Departments to prepare and print the
invoices and then we are responsible for reviewing them and preparing
them for mailing. For us it is about 1,250 invoices and is a lot of
work.

Subject: [Sqg-program] SQG Surcharges

Greetings,

We have been operating our SQG surcharge through our Tax Collector's
Office. However, yesterday we were informed that they will nolonger be
collecting this fee for us.

What I'm wondering is:

1. Do you still collect the SQG fees,

2. Who collects the SQG fee, and

3. If the Tax Collector doesn't collect it, how are you going about
collecting it and what "hoops" did you have to jump through?

Thanks in advance for you help and input.
