This year we are changing how mercury transporter/handlers register. The old
form has been eliminated and everyone will be using the new version of the
8700-12FL to register. We will be emailing this information to all the
currently registered mercury handler/transporters instead of snail-mailing
the registration. The mercury program is the first to do this and I have
developed a web page to help mercury registrants. Used oil and hazardous
waste transporters will use only the 8700-12FL also.
Please reference
http://www.dep.state.fl.us/waste/categories/mercury/pages/registration.htm if
you have facilities that ask about registering.
Questions about filling out the 8700-12FL or about how the used oil and haz
waste transporter registrations will be handled should be directed to Theresa
Sullivan at Theresa.A.Sullivan at dep.state.fl.us or 850-245-8706.
Thanks,
Laurie
