OTIS Data Stewards:

In an effort to strengthen transparency at EPA,  ECHO released several
new tools and reports to the public this week.  The press release
announcing this data release and the location of the state review
reports is at

New Clean Water Act Data Searches
-  State Review Framework
      The State Review Framework (SRF) is a program management tool to
consistently assess EPA and state core Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act
and Resource Conservation and Recovery    Act enforcement and compliance
assurance programs. The Framework enables EPA and states to jointly
assess the effectiveness of their programs, improve management
practices, and    ensure fair and consistent enforcement and compliance
across all regions and states.
      The new SRF queries available include:
            -  2008 Multi-State Data  (select any one data metric and
review data for all states)
            -  2004-2008 Trend Data by state
            -  2008 State Download of data

- Water Quality Information
      When using the basic search for clean water act permitted
facilities, water quality information can be added to existing reports
by clicking on the "W" icon.

New Clean Water Act Reports
- 2008 NPDES Majors Report
      This report provides basic state-by-state inspection, violation,
enforcement and penalty data by state for larger facilities.
- 2007 Annual Noncompliance Report for Non-Majors
      This report provides facility universes, violation, and
enforcement information by state for smaller facilities
- Data Entry and Completeness Report
      This report provides data entry rates for Clean Water Act
facilities by state.
