What sad news.  Jack was just here in Jacksonville on the 17th and he was talking to me about retiring and enjoying his life.  This is such a shock.  He will be greatly missed by many.

It is with a very heavy heart that I pass along the news that Jack Griffith passed away last night. Jack is now at peace with the Lord.  As some of you know Jack had been in the hospital for the past two weeks because of kidney functions. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Julie and son Boyce. Many of you have known Jack for many years through his work with the County SQG and the RCRA Compliance and Enforcement programs. We all have fond memories of Jack throughout the years.

I will update you with funeral arrangements as soon as I get the details. May Jack's Memory Be Eternal.
