Glen,
Just a reminder that not all Counties just accept this rule as it is written. Some have additional procedures for generators that wish to utilize their facility as final disposal. Lee County is one of them. There should be something in the DEP guidance document that states the generator needs to contact the facility representative for permission to utilize the facility has final disposal.

As a reminder when you conduct your inspections, solvent (only) contaminated rags may be excluded from regulations as a hazardous waste if managed in a certain way. Just remember that previous guidance stating rags are exempt from regulation when sent to a commercial laundry is no longer valid. [*] Solvent Contaminated Wipe Rule (Effective January 31, 2014) NEW!
Florida adopted by reference the federal rule for the management of solvent contaminated wipes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
The rule revises the definition of solid waste to conditionally exclude solvent$B!>(Bcontaminated wipes that are laundered and reused. It also revises the definition of hazardous waste to conditionally exclude solvent$B!>(Bcontaminated wipes that are disposed. Click the links below for more information.
