All,

I know some of you wear many hats. You may want to join this list serve or forward the invitation to your coworkers. Like the HHW and SQG lists, this one is closed to only government employees and all potential members will be vetted by the administrator. I've copied Henry Garrigo who is the administrator of this new list serve. If you have questions, please contact Henry directly (or call him at 850-245-8822).

Dear Florida Recycling Coordinator:

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Waste Reduction and Recycling Section, is pleased to announce the formation of a new recycling coordinator interest group and associated "listserv". This service allows for the direct communication between members of the group via e-mail.

The Florida Recycling Coordinators listserv is set up for city and county recycling coordinators across Florida to discuss emerging issues unique to waste reduction, solid waste management and recycling from a local government perspective. The listserv will be closed to vendors and private organizations to encourage frank and candid discussions between Florida Recycling Coordinators concerning specific recycling issues. Members must be approved by the listserv administrator before joining and will be limited to qualified individuals.

To join this group:

-Subscribe to FRC group by filling out the "Subscription" form at http://lists.dep.state.fl.us/mailman/listinfo/frc

-Select a password or one will be generated for you

-You will be sent an email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you

-Confirm you subscription when you receive the e-mail

-Your request for membership will be reviewed, and if approved, you will receive a confirmation e-mail

NOTES:

-This is a closed group and will only accept subscriptions from qualified recycling coordinators

-This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator

-This list is for the sharing of information related to discussions about recycling in Florida

-This list is not to be used for private business or to solicit business, products or services

-Inappropriate, abusive, or unrelated messages will be blocked and poster will risk removal from the group

-Not adhering to the explicit intent of this group will result in member removal.
