Description: Learn the requirements for managing hazardous waste in containers. The presentation mainly covers requirements for small and large quantity generators, but the minimal requirements for very small quantity generators are also discussed. There will be detailed information on satellite accumulation areas versus central accumulation areas.



Presenter: Andrea Stermer, North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ)

Presenter Info: Andrea Stermer has been an inspector for the NCDEQ Hazardous Waste Section for over four years. She also has over 15 years of previous experience in solid and hazardous waste from local government. In her current position inspections focus mainly on large quantity generators of hazardous waste and generators with permits to store hazardous waste and/or with corrective actions.
