advanced and specialized coastal engineering and technical and scientific
skills to develop information, recommendations, and products for the Division
relating to parks with beaches.&nbsp; Provides assistance to and coordinates with
other program areas of the Division in pursuit of the mission of the Division
to provide resource based recreation while protecting the resources of the
beaches within the parks.&nbsp; Performs coastal engineering review and
analysis and prepares responses concerning permit applications and other
proposals by federal, state, or local governments that may affect coastal
parks.&nbsp; Proposals could include beach/dune restoration and nourishment,
inlet management plans, inlet alteration, port expansions, erosion control
projects, and others.&nbsp; Assists with: the preparation of the Division
request for funding from the Florida Beach Management Funding Assistant
Program; the preparation of Division proposals for development and construction
within the coastal system; liaison with the Bureau of Beaches and Coastal
Systems; and the development of the division-wide management plan for beaches
with the Florida Park Service.&nbsp; Performs post-storm inspections and
