The performance of these duties requires a sound knowledge of cleanup regulations, rules and Department procedures governing site assessment and cleanup as well as a background of Florida's geology and its relationship to water quality. The position involves frequent contact with the public and other professionals, and travel throughout the District to perform field inspections to ensure compliance with departmental requirements, preparation of written correspondence, consultation with other government office staff and assisting in the preparation of formal enforcement documents where necessary.
