Your cooperation on the following items will be greatly appreciated. These problems were apparent during Maven operations this morning. Condition: Directories are created with upper case names. Directories and files are created with spaces in their names. File extensions are being utilized with upper case. Explanation: The Unix convention is to have directory names in lower case. Note that this condition is explicitly ignored within the CVS itself for certain CVS files and directories. This serves to draw special attention to them within CVS and to let people know they should not be using or changing anything within these special directories. Due to its special nature (and usage within Maven) the file LICENSE.txt is exempt from this consideration. This applies to file extensions as well. Although it is possible to create files and directories with spaces, this forces one to quote directories and files with spaces in the names. This is causing some troubles within CVS. In lieu of spaces please use an underscore character "_". Please do not create directories or files with CVS or CVSROOT in the names. This creates problems during troubleshooting. Any projects that would like to refresh or start over with their CVS can do so very easily. Please contact Ivan or Leslie to arrange a consultation on what can be done. -- Ivan S Kirkpatrick, PE cell 253 229 6605 eFax 1 435 578 445 _______________________________________________ Jhs-mail mailing list Jhs-mail@lists.dep.state.fl.us http://lists.dep.state.fl.us/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jhs-mail From maven@epic51.dep.state.fl.us Mon Dec 27 16:33:16 2004 From: maven@epic51.dep.state.fl.us (Maven User Account) Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:33:16 -0500 Subject: [Waste-first] CVS export failed for project waste-first Message-ID: <200412271633.iBRGXGA31153@epic51.dep.state.fl.us> From maven@epic51.dep.state.fl.us Mon Dec 27 16:45:13 2004 From: maven@epic51.dep.state.fl.us (Maven User Account) Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:45:13 -0500 Subject: [Waste-first] CVS export failed for project waste-first Message-ID: <200412271645.iBRGjD132167@epic51.dep.state.fl.us>
