Howdy -=20

I've got some shapefiles I'm trying to load into ArcSDE.=20
During the load, the process fails, due to "linestring or poly boundary
is self-intersecting".=20
So I convert the shapes to coverages to BUILD/CLEAN in an effort to
correct the topology.=20

I've tried three methods:=20
-	In ArcCatalog using the BUILD and CLEAN buttons in the
properties of the source data.=20
-	In ArcCatalog using the command line interface.=20
-	In ARC/INFO using the command line interface.=20

All three methods seem to work, but upon trying to load the data into
ArcSDE, the same error is thrown.=20

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.=20
