The latest version of Validator is now available on the DEP website.

This is the official beta release of the software. We hope to enter into
production within several weeks following the beta testing phase. Software
installations on Windows 2000 and XP appear very stable. If there are any
issues regarding installation or operation, please send them to me
immediately. Please capture as much information about the error as is
possible. We can be more helpful if the error message is accompanied by what
Validator feature you were using at the time of the error. This version has
many new user enhancements including the updated Groundwater Monitoring
Report, faster operation, shortcuts for quicker matching of methods and
components in the import and content wizards, and a searchable help file.

Department and contract county staff, please find instructions for
registering Validator on the Department's intranet site:

Registration is required for Department and County Solid Waste contracted
staff to enable upload of the data to our Oracle WACS database. All others
should not need or attempt registration.

I want to thank all that have participated in and been patient with the
production schedule of Validator. We believe we have a solid product that
will greatly assist the Department in uploading compliance data to our
department database. We believe that the resultant data has significantly
enhanced data integrity. The use of Validator will result in a great increase
in the amount of data uploaded to WACS and a net decrease in the amount of
staff effort required to do so. The end result will be that the department
will have a larger, cleaner WACS database from which to make better decisions
regarding Solid Waste issues facing Florida and its residents.
