gis-l: ImageAnalysis available

As a result of user requests, BIS is pleased to announce that two ArcGIS
ImageAnalysis floating licenses are now available.  There is a new =
license
server to serve these two licenses (see the installation notes below).
Please remember that with any ArcGIS extensions, if you have enabled the
extension from the Tools menu, when you open ArcGIS, a license will be
consumed whether you are actively using the extension or not.  So =
please,
remember to turn off the extension from the Tools menu when not in =
active
use.

The documentation for ImageAnalysis is also available as noted in the
instructions below.


Installation

Navigate to \\bis-4cgxh11\gisserver\Software\Other\LeicaImageAnalysis\.
Double click the setup.exe.

Click Next; accept, Next; image analysis, optionally image analysis =
sample
data, next; finish.

Start ArcMap.

Click Tools | Extensions.
Click Image Analysis checkbox.

Licensing dialog appears.
Click 'Specify the License Server (Floating License)', continue.
Click Server(s) tab.
Click Add New Server radio button.
Type 'ERDASLIC' in the text box next to Add New Server.  Leave Port ID =
blank.
Click Apply.
Click Ok.
Close the extensions dialog.

Add the Image Analysis Toolbar by clicking view | toolbars | image =
analysis
on the main menu.

For usage documentation, consult the Documentation folder on
\\bis-4cgxh11\gisserver\Software\Other\LeicaImageAnalysis.

To disable an extension, deselect the checkbox in the tools | extensions
dialog for the extension in question.
