GIS Users,

The following layers have been newly inserted in the GIS library and is published in DataCatalog/DataMiner:

ArcSDE Name - DEP.BMMR_OIL_GAS_PERMIT_WELLS
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name - Permitted Class II Oil and Gas Wells

ArcSDE Name - DEP.BMMR_OIL_GAS_PRE_PERMIT_WELLS
DataCatalog/DataMiner Name - Pre Permit Class II Oil and Gas Wells

The Permitted point layer contains the approximate locations of all the Operation Permitting Class II oil and gas wells within Florida as of 2009. This layer was designed to provide the Bureau of Mining and Minerals Regulation, Oil and Gas division, with a graphical representation of historic Operation Permitting Class II Oil Wells for planning and management purposes.

The Pre Permit Point layer contains approximate locations for known Class II Oil Wells drilled prior to regulation within Florida before 1943. This layer was designed to provide the Bureau of Mining and Minerals Regulation Oil and Gas division with a graphical representation of historic pre-permit and non-permitted Class II Oil Wells for planning and management purposes.

These layers are available in the "Business and Economics" category in DataCatalog and are under the "WRM" tab in DataMiner.

This layer can be accessed under the "Environmental Monitoring and Modeling" and "Planning & Development" category in Data Catalog and is under the "WRM" tab in DataMiner.
