gis-l: RE: Creating a layer from a selection

This is most probably a bug in ArcMap 9.3.1. A better workaround would be to select the features as before but instead of using the "Create Layer from Selected Features" option try exporting the selected features in a new shapefile.
After testing this on many layers from different sources we feel that this bug is not related to the new DataMiner v5 nor does it seem to be projection related.
Hope this helps.

Subject: gis-l: Creating a layer from a selection

I'm using ArcMap 9.3.1 w/ the new dataminer.
When I create a layer from a selection it projects the selection but then it disappears after zooming; and it doesn't reappear when I zoom to the full extent or refresh.
I got it to work once today but then I tried to create another selection from the new layer but the attribute table was empty- so no projection. Anyone run into this problem?
