GIS Users,
The following TIGER 2010 layers were recently added to the GIS library:

ArcSDE Name: BASE.TIGER_ROADS_2010
DataMiner Name: TIGER 2010 Roads
This layer contains primary Roads (Interstates) and secondary roads (U.S. highways, State highways and/or County Roads) and is an update to the TIGER Roads 2005 layer. This layer is available under the “Transportation” tab in DataMiner.

ArcSDE Name: BASE.TIGER_PLACES_2010
DataMiner Name: TIGER 2010 Places (Areas)

ArcSDE Name: BASE.TIGER_PLACES_2010_CENTROIDS
DataMiner Name: TIGER 2010 Places (Centroids)
These layers include both incorporated places (legal entities) and census designated places or CDPs (statistical entities). An incorporated place is established to provide governmental functions for a concentration of people. Places always nest within a State, but may extend across county and county subdivision boundaries. An incorporated place usually is a city, town, village, or borough, but can have other legal descriptions. CDPs are delineated for the decennial census as the statistical counterparts of incorporated places.

ArcSDE Name: BASE.TIGER_CITIES_2010
DataMiner Name: TIGER Cities 2010 (Areas)

ArcSDE Name: BASE.TIGER_CITIES_2010_CENTROIDS
DataMiner Name: TIGER Cities 2010 (Centroids)

The TIGER 2010 Cities layers are a subset of the TIGER 2010 Places layers. All these layers are under the “Boundaries” tab in DataMiner.

Thanks,
