GIS Users,
Please note the following important change to the source ArcSDE table for the Waterbody IDs (WBIDs) layer slated for next Tuesday October 11th 2011:
Old ArcSDE Table Name: DEP.WBIDS
New ArcSDE Table Name: DEP.WBIDS_SP_VW
DataMiner Name (stays the same): Waterbody IDs (WBIDs)

The attribute table/schema for the new layer is identical as the old layer so is the metadata and symbology in DataMiner and MapDirect. The reason for this change was to facilitate the consumption and maintenance of a single WBIDs data table in various applications and ArcSDE. Previously, disparate versions of WBIDs data were being used and this update has eliminated the need to maintain and update multiple versions. This layer will continue to be available under the “Water” and “WRM” tabs in DataMiner and will also be available for download via the online data directory: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/gis/datadir.asp
User and application access for the old DEP.WBIDS layer will be removed on October 11th. Please update any saved mxd’s prior to this date.

Thanks,
OTIS/GIS Section
