gis-l: Statewide Aerial Imagery

Good Morning,

The Aerial imagery dataset titled Aerial Imagery 2004-2009 available through Data Miner/Image Server/Map Direct has been recently created as an improvement of the Aerial Imagery 2005-2009 dataset.

The Aerial Imagery 2004-2009 contains the same imagery by county as the Aerial_Imagery_2005_2009 dataset but also includes imagery in Broward, Dade, Monroe, Highlands and the Lake Okeechobee area that was not available at the time that the Aerial Imagery 2005-2009 dataset was initially created.

OTIS/GIS is considering the removal of the Aerial Imagery 2005-2009 in the next couple weeks from Data Miner/ Image Server/ Map Direct and would like to assess the negative impact of doing so prior to the decision.

If your work will be negatively impacted please let me<mailto:Joe.North at dep.state.fl.us?subject=Statewide%20aerial%20Imagery%20-%20Response%20to%20GIS-L> know prior to the end of the day October 21st.  For some users this would require removing links to the old imagery in saved .mxd's and adding the new Aerial Imagery 2004-2009 layer.
