GIS Users,
The following layer was newly added in the GIS library:
ArcSDE Name: BASE.CADASTRAL_2013
DataMiner Name: Cadastral 2013 (Property Appraiser Parcels)
Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) tax parcels and ownership information for 2013. This parcel data was created to serve as base parcel ownership information for use in GIS systems for a variety of planning and analytical purposes. This layer is under the 'Indexes' tab in DataMiner. This layer will be added in MapDirect early January. With the release of the new Cadastral 2013 data, the older Cadastral 2010 (Property Appraiser Parcels) layer will no longer be available via DataMiner from January 10th 2014. Users will have to update their saved mxd's if this layer is being used. If business needs dictate continued use of the Cadastral 2010 layer, please contact OTIS/GIS Section directly - GIS.Librarian at dep.state.fl.us<mailto:GIS.Librarian at dep.state.fl.us> for guidance.
The following layer was recently updated in the GIS library:
ArcSDE Name: DEP.FLORIDA_NHD
DataMiner Name: Florida NHD
In November 2013, the existing Florida NHD100K and NHD 24K as downloaded November 12, 2013 from the USGS NHD, Hydrologic Units, GNIS alternate names and relationships were combined into one file geodatabase for public distribution and use. Notable edits in the 24K NHD database since the previous download in April 2013 were in the following sub basins: Withlacoochee (03100208), Peace (03100101), Upper St. Johns (03080101), Kissimmee (03090101), Florida Southeast Coast (03090206), Choctawhatchee Bay (03140102), Lower Choctawhatchee (03140203) and assorted network improvements made by USGS staff. The database includes a network using the NHD24 NHDFlowline feature class. The Utility Network Analyst tool can be used to trace routes through the network, however please note that if you set the results of the trace as selected features and zoom to selected, you may zoom to a scale that is outside the NHD24 dependency settings. This layer is under the 'Water' tab in DataMiner.
Thanks,
OTIS/GIS Section
