Good morning, everyone,

With reference to our most recent announcement (seen below), the OTIS-GIS Team has completed testing of Esri's recent 2.9.5 patch release. For users that are experiencing full work stoppage due to ArcGIS Pro frequently crashing, please submit a Service Desk ticket for the installation of the patch at your earliest convenience. For Pro users who are interested in version 2.9.5 but are not facing these crashes, we ask that you delay submitting requests so Service Desk (ServiceDesk at dep.state.fl.us<mailto:ServiceDesk at dep.state.fl.us>) may prioritize users experiencing workflow interruptions.

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding- please do not hesitate to direct any questions or concerns to GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov<mailto:GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov>.

Best,

Subject: Update -- IMPORTANT Information Regarding ArcGIS Pro Crashing

Hello everyone,

The OTIS-GIS Team is aware of the recent ArcGIS Pro 2.8/2.9 crashing when attempting to change symbology. Esri has released an official statement on the matter<https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/announcements/recent-microsoft-net-update-resulting-in-arcgis-pro-2-8-and-2-9-crash-when-changing-symbology/>, and will be issuing a fix in ArcGIS Pro 2.9 Patch 5, which is scheduled to be available Monday, October 18, 2022 Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Please allow the GIS team sufficient time to test and deploy the patch once it is released by Esri. This will allow us to focus our attention on making the fix available as soon as possible. Once the fix is available, we will broadcast its availability via another GIS-L announcement. (Please refer users to subscribe to the GIS-L listserv<http://lists.dep.state.fl.us/mailman/listinfo/gis-l>)

Additionally, please hold off on submitting any service desk tickets regarding this issue until the fix is announced.

As always, please direct any questions or concerns to the GIS Librarian mailbox, GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov<mailto:GIS.Librarian at FloridaDEP.gov>.

We appreciate your patience and understanding,
