If you have a drop-box program would you please send me the average number of pounds collected per box per month? Do your boxes accept liquids? Controlled? Please mention how many boxes and what time period were used to get that average. It might also be useful to know the population number being served. Thanks!
I need to evaluate the success of our program for a funder. One metric I want to use is a comparison with boxes from other programs, thus the request above. Another metric is if our boxes continue to be used as time progresses. Since the bulk of our boxes were opened for use only this past April 27th, I will wait to submit a final report at the end of the year. I need to send an interim report now.
We launched one box on Sept 17th, 2012. It accepts liquids and controlled along with other Rx, OTC, and pet medications. To date, it has collected 429.45 pounds of unwanted medications, very close to 50 #/month. The population of Tompkins County is about 102,000.
Any thoughts on other metrics that can be used? I will certainly include any comments received from users.
Thanks!
