[Pharmwaste] Stakeholder Conference Call Today, 1:15

As of 8 AM EST, the new rule has not yet been posted.

Has anyone else been invited to today's Stakeholder Teleconference, happening right after the Media call?
My invite did not specify to not pass it on. They probably have a very limited number of phone lines and may screen for invites only, possibly by having issued one-time use, unique access codes.

If you got an invite, what are the last two digits of your code? If they are the same as mine, I'll pass the whole code onto the list-serve.

ONDCP AND DEA TO HOST STAKEHOLDER TELECONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE
FINAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG DISPOSAL REGULATIONS

Dear ONDCP Key Stakeholder,

You are cordially invited to join us on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:15pm (EST) to discuss the final regulations for safe and responsible disposal of controlled substances.

Federal officials, including Acting ONDCP Director Michael Botticelli, and representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice will be hosting a stakeholder call to discuss the final regulations. As shown by the overwhelming number of Americans participating in the eight National Prescription Drug Take-Back events since 2010, there is a clear need for safe disposal of controlled substances. These new regulations, coming out of Congressional passage of the Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Act of 2010, will benefit the millions of people looking to make their homes safe from the potential of drug abuse.

The vast majority of individuals who misuse prescription drugs report getting them from friends and family. One of the four pillars of the Administration’s Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Plan is safe storage and disposal of unwanted controlled substances. Today’s announcement compliments the importance of getting unneeded prescription drugs properly disposed so that they will not provide the potential for harm to people or the environment. The next National Take-Back day is September 27, 2014; so please visit this site<http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/drug_disposal/takeback/> to find a location near you.

Who: ONDCP Acting Director Michael Botticelli, Representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice
What: Stakeholder teleconference and Q&A to discuss final regulations for safe disposal of controlled substances.
When: Monday, September 8th at 1:15pm EST
Call In Number: 1 (888) 330-1716 and the access code is 293____#
