Josh,

The North American Hazardous Materials Management Association (NAHMMA) annual National Conference and training event is planned for September 14-17 , 2015 in Austin, Texas. This event will be attended by a couple hundred professionals who work in the Household Hazardous Waste and Conditionally-exempt Small Quantity Generator's (CESQG) fields. Many of these individuals, like myself, are or have been working on pharmaceutical waste issues for years. It would be a shame if someone from EPA was not able to address this audience with news about the pending rule and the potential outcomes.

I sit on the organization's Chapter Leadership and Training Committees along with working with this year's conference planning committee. I believe there is still time to get someone from EPA on the agenda due to last minute speaker changes, etc.

Please feel free to contact me with questions. I'm happy to put you in touch with the NAHMMA national board, president or those organizing the national conference in Austin.

I appreciate you taking the time to send out this important announcement.

Thanks,

Dan

Subject: [Pharmwaste] Talking events for EPAs proposed rule

Hi,

EPA's proposed rule on pharmaceutical waste is expected to be published soon and the comment period will begin afterwards. EPA is looking for large speaking engagements (e.g. national or regional conferences) this fall so that we can reach out to the public and stakeholders about the proposed rule and answer any questions. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thank you
