Yesterday's announcement about S.C. becoming more compliant with the DEA take back rule prompted Wendy, from the NH Haz Waste Management Bureau, to write:
As of August 6, 2016, NH law allows for pharmaceutical collections in accordance with DEA requirements. The changes made by 2016 HB 1490 supersede the hazardous waste rules that had presented a barrier to collection of residential pharmaceutical wastes by entities other than law enforcement. The hazardous waste rules are currently being revised.
Here’s a link to the text of HB 1490: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/bill_Status/billText.aspx?sy=2016&id=883&txtFormat=html
I just checked again and don't find registrations in AK, CT, HI, or MO.
MS, which was a on the list last August, now has pharmacies registered!
Anyone from AK, CT, HI, or MO have updates on pending rules changes? Interested in lobbying to bring your state into compliance? I have contact info for CT and MO.
