What topics will be accepted?
Suggested emerging contaminant topics include:

  *   Flame retardants (including PBDEs & related compounds)
  *   Nanoparticles
  *   Naturally occurring hormones
  *   Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) (including PFOS, PFOA, & related compounds)
  *   Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs)
  *   Plastics and microplastics (including microfibers)
This list is not all inclusive. Presentations will be accepted on the latest in emerging contaminant research, policies, outreach, and education. The conference organizers define emerging contaminants in the aquatic environment as chemicals that are not commonly monitored and have known or suspected negative impacts on aqautic ecology.
Who can submit an abstract?
Researchers, educators, businesses, government officials, regulatory agencies, policy makers, outreach and extension professionals, non-profit organizations, and medical, veterinary, and public health professionals are encouraged to submit abstracts.
