requires extensive travel and knowledge of navigating off-road using =

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: This is a highly technical OPS position =
in
the Watershed Monitoring and Data Management Section. Duties include =
surface
and ground water sampling of two monitoring networks, sampling =
preparations,
site reconnaissance, inventory, maintaining field sampling equipment and
vehicles, maintaining documentation logs, and assisting section staff in
operating statewide water quality monitoring networks.=20

Experience using multi-parameter water quality monitoring instruments is
preferred. Knowledge and experience using global positioning systems =
(GPS) is
preferred. Knowledge and experience using software including Microsoft =
Office
products is required. The ability to navigate using maps in remote =
locations
is required. The successful applicant must have very good interpersonal
skills and be able and willing to communicate effectively either =
verbally or
in writing with staff, other government agencies, and the general =
public.
Extensive over night travel is required.=20
