shrug-l: Polygon Boundary Calculation - ArcView

Greetings!
    I am looking for an ArcView script (program) that will give the outer
boundary dimensions of a odd-shaped polygon.  I am sure such a
script/program exists and I just have not looked in the right place.  An
example of what I need to do is to create a file with a decimal degree
value for the western-most and eastern-most political boundary of Jackson
County (as well as the northern and southern boundaries).
