We are looking for anyone with information regarding Canadian Postal =
geographies. We are specifically looking for a polygon layer depicting =
'letter carrier' walk routes. These may be known as Delivery Modes in =
Canadian postal jargon.
As far as we can ascertain, only line coverages for this data exist. We =
can 'mock' a polygon layer, by simply creating a buffer around the line =
segments, but this raises several new issues for us, and we either end =
up with several 'holes' in the coverage, or the spatial extent is =
unreasonably large.
According to our sources, even Canada Post doesn't have Letter Carrier =
Walk Routes in polygon format. We have heard that someone once created a =
polygon coverage of this type for Canada Post, but he is no longer =
employed there and we have been unable to locate him.
