Training Classes
Most of our classes have begun to fill up. Due to high demand we have =
added
another 'Introduction to ArcGIS' course that is also almost already =
full.
However, the following classes are at risk of being cancelled due to =
low
registration numbers: Building Geodatabases needs 5 more participants =
to
meet the minimum to be able to hold the class and Introduction to ArcIMS
needs 7 more. So get your co-workers to also register today. =20
This is a great opportunity to get the specified and certified training =
you
need at a discounted price. Two day classes will be held on Monday =
November
15th and Tuesday November 16th. Three day classes will be November =
15th,
16th and the final day on Friday November 19th. These classes are also =
on a

Poster Extension=20
Due to the effect the hurricanes have had on everyone, we are extending =
the
poster deadline until the end of the month. =20
Remember - All we need from you is a title and a brief description to =
enter
your poster. Then simply bring your poster when you come to the =
workshop on
November 17th. Register today.
Display your "Project Presentation" or your "Spatial Analysis or
Visualization" on a Poster at this year's workshop. We will be offering
several place prizes in each category and honorable mentions. We also =
have a
separate "Student Entry" for college level students. And don't forget =
about
the Peoples Choice "Best of Show" award. All GIS-related subjects are
welcome. Posters will be judged by a panel of peers, with the exception =
of
the additional category, "Best of Show," that will be voted on by the
Workshop attendees. First, Second, and Third Place plus Honorable =
Mention
Awards will be given.
Don't forget that all entries should contain minimum cartographic =
elements
used for presentation of spatial data as appropriate. These may include =
but
are not limited to: north arrow, legend, scale bar, units of measure, =
map

vast array of hors d'oeuvre.
Wednesday, November 17th:
At 5:15 p.m. please join us in room A-3 for the SHRUG SOCIAL MIXER. =
There
will be a DJ, with cocktails and lots of great food including a carving
station, veggies, fruit, and an assortment of other delicious =
appetizers.=20
Everyday Break Time Raffles:
Join us during the breaks in the exhibit hall for your chance to win =
several
great items. No tickets needed just have to be present to win.
Final Day Big Raffle:
All of our 'Big' raffle items will be given out at our SHRUG business =
meeting
during lunch on Thursday. Bring the raffle tickets you received in =
your
registration bag to win these items. Turn in your workshop survey form
before lunch on Thursday and receive an extra raffle ticket.
Post-workshop Off-Road Bike Ride:
The annual post-workshop off-road bike ride will be held on Thursday,
November 18th from 4:00 pm at the Phipps - Overstreet - Redbug group of
trails. These trails vary in level of difficulty from open jeep trails =
to
highly technical single track.
Riders of all levels as well as walkers and runners will find a trail =
well
suited for them. There are specific trails dedicated to walkers so if =
you
don't ride but would like to get out and enjoy the afternoon please be =
sure
to join us.
Sunshine Cycles of Tallahassee will be providing water, snacks, =
mechanical
support as well as handouts and prizes!

from 4:00 pm at the Phipps - Overstreet - Redbug group of trails. =
These trails vary in level of difficulty from open jeep trails to highly =

levels as well as walkers and runners will find a trail well suited for =
