Amber the quickest way I know how to do it is: (This is all under the
assumption that you are using ArcGIS 8 or 9 as well as having =
ArcWorkstation
loaded.)

=20

1.) Select the layer you want to bring into Microstation, Convert it =
to a
shapefile.

2.) Using ArcInfo - Shapearc the shapefile to a Poly, Point, or Line
Coverage.

3.) Be sure to clean the new coverage

4.) If poly you may have to regionpoly the coverage

5.) Once you have the coverage next you will have to arcdxf the =
coverage
to a dxf file.

6.) If you have arcinfo there is help for each of the commands I =
have
outlined above.

7.) You may also contact me if you run into problems.

Help! I need to bring a GIS data layer into MicroStation. If anyone =
knows
how to convert the layer to either a .dxf or a .dwg file, please =
respond.
I'm very very new to GIS.
