shrug-l: explode

[Ken Stocks]

Does anyone know the command to explode a shape file
in ArcMap?  I have a polygon shape file comprised of
several individual shapes that is only one entity.  I
need to explode each shape.  I have checked out the
help menu but can not come up with the key word.
