Carla,
=20
I've been informed that your folks have decided to stand down, since the
hurricane decided to veer west.=20
=20
However, I understand that TD13 is brewing, and no doubt there will be
many more opportunities after that.
=20
I've received a strong response from the many capable GIS folks in my
agency. In order to provide you the best use of the available staff, I'd
like to make some suggestions:

*	Would it be possible to create an EOC-GIS listserve so that
folks who want to help can be notified of need and can communicate more
effectively with each other and the EOC?=20
*	Can we do something to create MOUs (Memoranda of Understanding)
between our agencies so that the process of getting approval and
transferring funds can be simplified?

I think that these two steps could take us a long way toward providing
you with the capable, qualified volunteer staff that you need on short
notice, and that'd be good for both of us!
