Hurricane Response Help from ESRI
ESRI is actively assisting government agencies and private organizations
that need help in responding to recent severe weather events. Temporary
keycodes, on-site support, and other assistance is available 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. This assistance is available to any organization
with GIS needs regardless of its GIS platform.
To request emergency software, data/imagery, or services/consulting
assistance from ESRI, complete the Request Emergency Assistance Form and
submit.=20
(http://gis.esri.com/events/assist/index.cfm?eventID=3D106)
All requests for assistance should be justified and show direct support
for the disaster.
Contact the Disaster Help Coordination Team (Disaster_help@esri.com) for
general inquiries about your request by listing your Assist ID number
and agency name in the subject line of your email.
Mapping is important during the response and recovery stage of a
disaster. Mapping will be critical in positioning facilities and
services, determining a triage method of repair of infrastructure, and
in determining loss in order to begin work on recovery. ESRI stands
ready to help with these efforts.
