OPS JOB OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

Section:		Information and Science Management
Title: 			IMS Programmer, OPS 
Location:		St. Petersburg, Florida
Work Schedule:	Flexible Hours:  Full or Part Time 
Application Deadline:	Open until filled
Pay Range:		$15-$17 per hour, depending on skills and
experience.
Position Description: 
ArcIMS Programmer responsible for providing GIS database and web
application development and maintenance to assist with the development
of an Enterprise Architecture for GIS. Web-based programming using HTML,
ASP, XML, ArcXML, Java, and Java Script.  
Education:  Bachelors degree from an accredited university.   
Desired Qualifications:  ArcIMS Programming skills to include: Design,
and develop custom ArcIMS pages, implement security controls in ArcIMS.
Configure ArcIMS to fully utilize the ColdFusion connector.   ESRI
ArcIMS programming development using Java/ActiveX and other connectors;
HTML; JavaScript, JSP; Visual Studio .NET, ASP; ArcIMS 9; ArcGIS Server
9; GIS metadata development; ArcXML, GML, KXL, WMS, WFS, OGC Standards;
Oracle and ArcSDE; Google and Yahoo Maps APIs; and web, graphic and
cartographic design.  Incorporate 3D exploration in ArcIMS; incorporate
the capability to display live and near real time data feeds in ArcIMS,
setup, maintenance, and tuning of ArcIMS.
This position is a State of Florida Other Personnel Services (OPS)
position which does not provide a full benefit package.
