That scripts does work, and ArcGIS 9.1 includes a Sample Toolbox
(arcgis\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes\Samples.tbx) that contains a Batch Define
Coordinate System tool that also works...

I've also placed it here --
ftp://ftp.dep.state.fl.us/pub/water/wetlands/avtools/Samples.tbx
<ftp://ftp.dep.state.fl.us/pub/water/wetlands/avtools/Samples.tbx> -- in
case it can't be found with your installation.

Just open ArcToolbox, right-click and select Add Toolbox, browse to that
file, and then look under Samples, Data Management, and Projections, and
you'll see Batch Define Coordinate System.

Don't know if it'll work in 8.3 or 9.0.

Good luck,

Jim, try this:

http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=13664

I'm not sure if it supports sid format but it might be worth a look.

Good luck,

Michele Mayo

Is it possible to define the spatial reference for more than one dataset
simultaneously?
