shrug-l: right-to-left text getting me down

Hello SHRUG,

I have several annotation layers that somehow wound up with right-to-left 
(Hebrew/Arabic) text.  As a result, numbers appear before letters where they 
should not.  For example:

"Capacity 4000 cfs" becomes "cfs Capacity 4000" in the maps.

Does anyone know of a quick way to fix these?  The only solution I know of 
is to manually uncheck right-to-left in the symbol properties of each 
annotation layer in each .mxd.  This will take too long.

The annotation is saved as its own layer(s), but the problem appears to be 
within the .mxd's.  I'm wondering if there is a script or something that 
will change them all.
