Subject Line:      Plan Now to Attend the 3rd Annual GIS Symposium/Workshops "Managing our Geography"

Fellow GIS/Remote Sensing Colleagues:

Just a quick reminder to register now to attend the 3rd Annual GIS Symposium/Workshops to be held in Auburn, Alabama October 31 and November 1, 2006. The website is up and includes registration forms, workshop descriptions and hotel/travel information. The address is www.auei.auburn.edu/gis 

Space in  the four-hour workshops featuring the latest information on ESRI geodatabases and state of the art updates about LIDAR processes is limited. Visit the website for course descriptions and registration information.

Information is also available on the web to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the symposium. Guidelines for submitting an abstract can be found at http://www.auei.auburn.edu/gis/pdf/call.pdf  The deadline to submit is August 18, 2006. Students who enter a poster will be eligible for cash prizes.

Hosted by Auburn University Department of Geology and Geography, Environmental Institute and the Geomatics Program of Troy University, the workshops and symposium offer a unique opportunity to network with colleagues and learn the latest information in the GIS field.
