shrug-l: GeoXT Help!

I know this is not a fix, but I recently installed the 7,0 evaluation
version of ArcPad and while my Recon was connected with Microsoft Active
sync activated, the 7.0 installed on the Recon and works great.

I suggest you try the 7.0 and see if that works for you. 7.0 in my opinion,
is great for the CE platforms.

I had a similar problem with a TDS Recon. The processor was not compatible
with the specific processors supported by ArcPad. ESRI had to send me a
special build for my application. This was for 6.0.3.

Any Shrug folk tried to activate a 2005 GeoXT unit?

I have had a number of issues trying to get our new unit up and running.
Latest hurdle has to do with installing the QFE patch. I have followed the
steps recommended by ESRI to replace the existing ArcPAD.exe file. However,
when trying to run ArcPAD from the CE device I get the following text box -

"ArcPAD is not a valid Pocket PC application"

My huge headaches stems from the fact that I need this unit ready for Field
work tomorrow, and the Tech Support I usually go through is out of town with
out a cell phone!

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Leah
