Position Title: GIS Developer/Manager

Job Description
This position has dual roles: development and technical duties for an
ESRI GIS environment; and a team leader for a team of three GIS staff
members.  The position is focused primarily on technical and development
tasks, with minor managerial responsibilities.


Major Duties
* Perform design and development of enterprise GIS applications -
desktop/web based
* Integrate data from various sources into GIS tools and applications to
deliver effective information
* Develop project plans, budgets, and requirements for GIS related
projects
* Lead team responsible for GIS applications and supporting GIS end
users
* Set GIS standards for organization
 

Requirements
* Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering,
Geography, GIS, or related field (Work experience may be substituted for
degree)
* Minimum of five years experience in Environmental Systems Research
Institute, Inc. (ESRI) software including ArcInfo/ArcGIS version 8.3 or
higher, 
* Minimum of five years experience with development in a combination of
the following languages/environments:
	Visual Studio - VB (Visual Basic), ASP
	Visual Studio .NET - VB .NET, ASP .NET, C#
	Web development - PERL, CGI, PHP, Java
	Client/server development environments such as PowerBuilder,
Delphi, etc.
* Minimum of four years experience in SQL, TSQL, and Stored Procedures
* Experience implementing and administering ArcIMS and ArcSDE on
Microsoft SQL Server
* Proven experience in developing dynamic, web-based mapping
applications using ArcIMS and geospatial databases such as ArcSDE.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* US Citizen


Preferences
* SQL Server Database Administration experience
* Microsoft Windows server administration experience
* Experience with Image Server, ArcServer, or ArcEngine
* Experience with public safety environments including GPS, AVL,
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), wireless, and mobile computing
