shrug-l: Parel-level population

Hi Bob,
 
We have been doing population estimates and 25-year projections at the parcel level for both SWFWMD’s and SJRWMD’s water planning departments, within their counties. Our projections and estimates are controlled to UF BEBR population data and are driven by property appraiser data, historical census data, and other planning models The parcel scale is very detailed, so the data can be aggregated up to any other geographical scale or zonal area, such as zip codes or census blocks. 
 
We mainly deal with the present and future, but we have, in a few cases, reconstructed the past using similar analyses. We also have the 1990 and the 2000 census block GIS data for each county in the state. If you are interested, please give me, or either of my associates a call, and we can provide you access to our FTP site.

As a FSU geography grad - I should respond.   You can check out our website at the link below.  We have population data which we use for our health indicators.  Data can be found by using the left hand menu:  Data Queries > Population estimates > and you pick the time frame.  You can export an Excel file for the counties to join to your shapefiles/layers/etc.  We receive our numbers from the Governor's Office and EDR - but you may find our site a bit easier to navigate.  No offense to EDR.
