Environmental GIS Analyst

 

The Florida Natural Areas Inventory is seeking a full-time employee to work
as an Environmental GIS Analyst.  This position will assist the GIS Program
Specialist with development, maintenance and QA/QC of GIS products and
metadata, conservation-related spatial data analysis, and in-house GIS
technical support.  This position will also assist with acquisition,
organization and maintenance of base GIS data and databases as directed by
the GIS Program Specialist.  Preference will be given to applicants with
either a bachelor's degree in biological sciences or geography.   Knowledge
and ability using ArcGIS or ArcView 3.x software to perform mapping and
analysis tasks, including creation and editing of GIS spatial and attribute
data is also preferred.
