shrug-l: GIS/Adobe Illustrator combination

We do not use Macs here but do run Adobe with out a problem. Macs are
widely used by those in the graphics field. It is the one area Apple was
able to keep PCs out of.

in Graphics are insisting that I need a Mac to run the Adobe CS3. 

What do you all use?
