I wanted to share this message regarding an interesting upcoming workshop in the Tampa area --

GITA <http://www.gita.org/>  is working with the University of Tampa to hold a Geospatially Enabling Community Collaboration (GECCo) <http://www.gita.org/ciper/gecco.asp>  workshop on the 13th and 14th of January.  The focus of GECCo is to help bring organizations involved in emergency/disaster response together to share geospatial information as it relates to all elements of planning, mitigation, response, and recovery.  Typically, these events are sponsored as pre-cursors to GITA annual conferences <http://gita.org/gis>  in the conference host city.
