The Society for Geospatial Sciences (The Florida State University Student
Chapter of ASPRS) and the FSU Geography and Environmental Studies Student
Association
Presents:
The Inaugural Remote Sensing and Geospatial Technologies Conference
March 28-30, 2008
This event will have the honor of having Marguerite Madden, Ph. D as its
Keynote Speaker. Marguerite Madden, Ph. D is the President of the American
Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and a Professor and
Director of Center for Remote Sensing and Mapping Science (CRMS) at the
University of Georgia.
Activities will be both social and academic. Academic activities will
include posters and presentations; topics may cover any areas in remote
sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), cartography and global
positioning systems (GPS).
The registration fee is $50.
Tentative Schedule:
Friday March 28th
Morning-Afternoon: Registration
Evening: Social Event
Saturday March 29th
9:00am - 10:00am: Keynote Presentation by Dr. Marguerite Madden.
10:00 - 11:00am: Refreshment and coffee break
11:00am - 12:30pm: Paper Presentation Sessions
12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch
1:30pm - 2:30pm: Poster Presentations
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Paper Presentation Sessions
3:30pm - 4:00pm: Refreshment and Coffee Break
4:00pm - 5:30pm: Paper Presentation Sessions
5:30pm - 7:00pm: Break to allow attendees to return to their hotel rooms to
clean up for dinner.
7:00pm - 8:30pm: Dinner at the picturesque Suwannee Room Dinning Hall
Sunday March 30th
9:00am - Noon: Professional development workshops from some of the top
scholars and Geospatial Technology leaders from around the Southeast..
