------------------------------------------------------------
THIS MONTH: PRESENTATION

TOPIC: Bridging the Gap between CAD and GIS

SPEAKER: Chris Tolken
		President
		Munsys, Inc.

DESCRIPTION:

Many organizations face the challenge of duplicated effort by trying to
maintain both drawing and GIS data in two different systems. Munsys
bridges the gap between Engineering and GIS departments by allowing
these departments to effectively share this data using Open GIS
standards. This presentation will demonstrate how easy it is to maintain
your engineering information in an open accessible format where this
data can then be utilized by traditional GIS.

Chris Tolken is the founder and president of Munsys Inc, a company that
specializes in GIS software development and consulting services for the
utilities and government sector. He started his career in civil
engineering 20 years ago and soon realized the benefits that CAD, GIS
and databases could provide. In 1993 he founded Munsys in South Africa
to offer consulting and software development services to local
government and started developing the Munsys applications. In 2000 he
established offices in Australia and since 2004 he has been living in
Florida while working on expanding Munsys operations in North America.
