 The next SHRUG Quarterly meeting will take place Tuesday March 11th
from 2 to 4:30, at the Brokaw McDougal House located behind Leon High
School @ 329 N. Meridian St.. Refreshments will be  provided. Below is

3.      Update on Florida’s Strategic Plan for Statewide Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) Coordination- Bill Alfred
4.      Presentation by Davie Anderson- National Hydrography Dataset
The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is a comprehensive spatial
database of the surface waters throughout the United States and includes
added attributes such as hydrologic classification, federally-recognized
geographic names and EPA reach code identifiers for several thousand
features. FDEP Bureau of Water Restoration has taken a major role in the
future development and enhancement of the 1:24,000 scale data by signing
an agreement with Federal agency managers to become the recognized State
Steward for the dataset in Florida. In this presentation, David
Anderson, the Florida NHD Steward and Coordinator, will cover the
contents, future development, possible uses of the Florida NHD dataset
and the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD).
