Georgia URISA luncheons are intended to provide educational and networking opportunities, along with a sensible meal.

Topic: New Technology for Accurate Data Collection 

Speakers: John Her and Dave Henderson 

Description: 

This presentation will outline information on refining the quality of field data through the use of GPS corrections and networked base stations, including what you need to get started, how these technologies work, and real world examples of who uses them and why.

John Her

John is the Georgia and North Carolina Technical Sales Associate for Earl Dudley, Inc. He has been working in the surveying and construction industry for eight years, holding positions involving field surveys, research, sales and technical support for GPS, surveying equipment, and office and data collection software packages. John is experienced in troubleshooting and resolving data collection challenges involving various products and differing field situations. His current focus is providing solutions for the measuring and positioning industry that increase productivity and data quality. 

Dave Henderson 
National GIS Sales Manager 
Topcon Positioning Systems 

Dave’s career in the measurement and positioning industry spans 25 years. Currently he is the National GIS Sales Manager for Topcon Positioning Systems, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of precision positioning equipment for GPS systems, laser, and optical surveying products. His primary focus is providing mobile GIS and GPS solutions through Topcon's GIS distribution network. Prior to joining Topcon, Dave held several industry positions as a District and Regional manager for surveying, GPS, and GIS mapping products.
