shrug-l: ArcGIS app development questions

Good afternoon!  This question is specifically related to ArcGIS server
app development and if you do not deal with that, please ignore the rest
of this message.  

 

The "results container" in an ArcGIS server app is not very
user-friendly feature nor is its current form customizable.  I am
thinking about a window-based results container (or to undock the result
container to a window) so that we can customize it.  This window-based
container remains docked to the main app map/graphic page so that users
can interact with the main map graphic.  

 

Have someone done this?  Or is this even doable?
